I am working with my current since May 2002. I joined them in India. I moved to US on H1 VISA
in Feb 2007.
I have done B.SC (3 years) from India and a 2 years computer course from NIIT (PNC - Professional
Diploma in Network Centered Computing).
I am planning to apply for my GC with them in the EB2 category since EB3 category has a long
waiting period. I talked to my company's lawyer and he told that since my graduation is of 3 years
only, I cannot apply in EB2 category even though my total years of experience with my current
company is close to 7 years (and in US since Feb 2007).
I heard of you guys from one of my friend and thought of having a second opinion from you guys also.
Please let me know if I can apply in EB2 category or not.

For EB2, The job requirements should be Masters or Bachelors + 5 years experience. AND you should have this qualification.
With that said, In my opinion, it looks like this will be difficult for your case, since you do not have masters degree and the experience with the same company which filed your GC can not be counted.
Also 3 year bachelor degree people have lots of denials in EB2. Just search for 3 year degree EB2 and you will find these cases.
I would say it would be safer to file in EB3. This is just my opinion, please consult attorney or other experts.
