Need FI-Visa but married to permanent resident Options

My wife is in the states as a permanent resident. we got married 9months ago but am still in my homecountry. I want to join her but worried that I wont be allowed to study. so I got an I-20. Do I qualify for an FI student Visa?

If you have recieved an i-20, that is from a university..is that correct?
yes that is what you need for an F1.
