I am a graduate student at a US university and my I-20 expires in August 2009. My visa expires in July 2011. I am not done with my MS program and I have 3 more credits to complete. I wish to apply for a program extension.
I attended a different school when I first came to the US and then had to transfer to my present school. I was on academic probation in my previous school for two semesters. Does this in any way affect my chances of getting a program extension. I was to graduate in this month but because of unexpected delay in my final project I have to now graduate in December 2009.

Please reply.
